EDWARD P. CANCIO, P.E. - Founder and Principal

A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida, Edward Cancio holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, along with General Contractor and Electrical Contractor licenses - a rare and powerful combination in the industry.

With 35 plus years of experience, including 15 years at FPL specializing in power infrastructure and construction management, he brings technical expertise and hands-on precision to every project. As co-founder of Electrum Construction, Edward has successfully led multi-million-dollar projects, ensuring engineering excellence, safety and seamless execution.

Founded in 2001 by experienced electrical engineers, Electrum Construction has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget electrical solutions. From commercial and residential projects to large-scale public government facilities, we have built our success on precision, reliability, and seamless execution.

With projects ranging from $300K to $6.5M, we bring two decades of expertise in navigating complex installations, streamlining workflows, and keeping projects on track. As we continue to evolve, we integrate cutting-edge technology and innovative practices to provide general contractors and project owners with reliable, hassle-free electrical contracting experience.

ANA MARIA CANCIO - Founder and Principal

Ana holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and began her career at Florida Power & Light (FPL), where she spent 18 years advancing into a leadership rolde overseeing power distribution strategies, business planning, process standardization, and communications. She managed IT systems and operational support for over 4,000 employees, directing an $800 million annual operating budget.

As Vice President of Electrum Construction, Inc., Ana has spearheaded over $60 million in complex electrical projects, pioneering innovative construction methods that have significantly reduced labor and material waste. Her expertise in business operations, process optimization, and organizational strategy has positioned her as a driving force in the electrical and construction industries.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Ana is committed to developing the next generation of engineers. She serves on the Dean's Advisory Committee for the University of Miami College of Engineering, where she contributes her expertise to shaping engineering education and providing industry insights.
